Since natural jadeite is rare in the world, it is often sold at sky-high prices, so there are many outlaws in the market forging or dyeing jadeite. As early as the early 1980s, the Hong Kong jade market was flooded with chemically treated and resin-infused jadeite (known in the industry as B jade). It is difficult to distinguish B jade (chemically treated and resin-infused jade) and A jade (natural jade) by using common standard gemstone identification instruments. Therefore, we choose two major jade laboratories in Hong Kong to conduct a fair and objective identification of our jadeite. And issue an appraisal certificate, so that consumers can buy with peace of mind.
HKJSL / Hong Kong Jade & Stone Laboratory Limited
The Hong Kong Jewellery and Jade Manufacturers Association (formerly the Hong Kong Jade Products Manufacturers Association) established the Hong Kong Jade Laboratory (HKJSL) in 1993, which is the first jade laboratory in Hong Kong. The center is equipped with advanced equipment, infrared spectrometer, and experienced gemmological experts, which can provide accurate identification and issue a certificate of recognition to the public. Each "Jade Appraisal Report" is issued by a senior professional gem appraiser. Each piece of jade tested includes a description of the shape and workmanship, weight, size, color and transparency, and a color photo is attached for identification. The routine identification steps of jade pieces include obtaining the test data and data of jade pieces by using optical and physical instruments such as refractometer, polarimeter, hydrostatic specific gravity, spectrometer, ultraviolet lamp and microscope. The gem appraiser will analyze the data and data obtained to determine whether it is jadeite and identify the authenticity of the color, and use an infrared spectrometer to determine whether it contains resin components, and finally make a conclusion that it is natural jadeite or processed jadeite.

There are many jewelry and jade appraisal agencies in China, and China has strict qualifications for jewelry and jade quality appraisal agencies. Only after passing the certification, the issued appraisal certificate has legal effect. Jewelry and jade appraisal certificates issued by domestic institutions often have the words CMA, CAL or CNAS. These marks represent the appraisal certificates of authoritative and formal institutions, which to a large extent proves the authority of the appraisal certificates used by the merchants and the quality of the products. CMA：The mark of the testing institution's measurement certification, and the institution with this mark is a legal inspection institution, which is the basic requirement of the national law for the testing and inspection institution.

ILAC：Abbreviation for International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation Organization. Its purpose is to foster international cooperation in facilitating international trade by increasing the acceptance of test and calibration results from accredited laboratories.
